CONFIRMED ANNOUNCEMENT: Oct. 25th, 5pm-11pm, Electronica Djs/Producers & Singers "Hollywood Music Awards" & "CA Yes on Prop 2 (stop farm animal abuse legally) on Election Day Awareness Party" showcase. I in turn plan to promote the event and YOU on the "DUI ! Radio Dancing Under the Influence of Electronica" show & in its promo emails as well. That means the djs & singers involved with this Oct. 25th (time tenative) "Yes On Proposition 2" event will not just be using their skills for a good cause, they will be showcasing their skills for a "Hollywood Music Awards" showcase. Ultimately a shy girl, performing was a way to come out of her shell & express herself. She went on to become a commercial radio air personality during her college years, & had her own dance radio "high-ratings" show before the station was sold & the music format changed.After receiving her Masters in Fine Arts in Theatre from "Sarah Lawrence College" in New York, USA, Monique dove into all areas of the performing arts she was interested in & had an ability for including creating several dance music tunes with social messages attached with a comedic edge to them. She also has had several dance tracks on major labels or distributed by major label distribution. She also wrote, produced, & performed in her own 2-hour comedy/mystery/ drama entitled "Murder Under A Porch" in New Jersey, Philadelphia, & the Phila. suburbs. Don't worry; the play has a happy ending. No one was actually hurt! Monique doesn't believe in violence. In fact, she's been a vegetarian for 8 years, and for the past 4 years has been vegan (minus a few nibbles of imported cheese)! Don't talk meat with her! She currently volunteerily acquired 835 signatures for HumaneCalifornia.org to STOP animal farm abuse in the state of California. The statute will be up on the Nov. 2008 CA State Election Ballot! Please sign & vote against abuse if you are from CA!So the West Coast is more open minded (And a little warmer) to vegetarians and the like, and Monique transplanted herself to Los Angeles 3 years ago from her original home state, New Jersey, where she is concentrating on dance music & comedy, along with some writing & acting. The projects, which Monique selects to work on quite often have some kind of social message or benefit. She also co hosts a dance music show Saturdays, 9am-10am & 6pm-7pm PST on www.Club-Lounge-Radio.com & Shoutcast.com (type Club Lounge Radio into the search bar click listen), & encourages dance music artists to contact her for interviews as well as other interesting & socially conscious people. She recently returned from "The 8th Annual KCCM Song of the Year Award" Awards Show, performing in Kansas with her "Don't Slip That Pill In My Drink" nominated song.
